Tiffany Style By Rubie Rae

What is style

When people talk about a Tiffany style ring, what they are really talking about is the setting, not the diamond.  A single diamond that is raised up and held securely on top of the band by slender prongs – usually six, but sometimes four.

Show of the diamond

Despite this style popularity, its role is firmly a supporting one. It is a setting that knows its place, one that was designed for one purpose and one purpose only, to show off the diamond.

How can you do this

The claws holding the diamond in place useless metal, which in turn exposes more of the diamond’s surface area. This not only lets you see more of the diamond, it allows more light enter and exit the stone. More light equals more sparkle – and sparkle, as we all know, is the magic ingredient of every stunning ring.

Tiffany or Tiffany-style

When this new design was introduced. it was so phenomenally successfully that ‘Tiffany style’ soon became a generic term for any multi-pronged solitaire setting.

So if like most people going to your local Tiffany’s  is out of the question, you can opt for a Tiffany-style ring, the elegant design will perform exactly as you want it to. think of the setting as the perfect frame to show off your beautiful diamond.
